Celebrate the history of American art glass with this spectacular pair of St. Clair Carnival Glass commemorative toothpick holders. Produced in 1972 by the renowned St. Clair Glass Works in Elwood, Indiana, these pieces were crafted specifically for the city's second annual Glass Festival. This particular pair stands out due to its extraordinary iridescence, featuring deep "oil slick" reflections of purple, gold, and teal over a rich cobalt blue base. The design features a classic "Zippered" or "Holly Band" diagonal motif with raised dots and a distinctively scalloped "sawtooth" rim. The central oval medallion is crisp and clear, reading: “GLASS FESTIVAL 1972 ELWOOD IND.”
