Vintage Signed Barbara McCorkle Ceramic Shoe Planter As-Is Turquoise Rose 7", Flawed
Step into the romantic elegance of mid-century parlor rooms with this exquisite vintage 1950s/1960s signed studio art ceramic Victorian high-heel shoe planter. Masterfully hand-detailed and signed on the base by independent mid-century American ceramicist Barbara McCorkle, this unique novelty slipper serves as a beautiful accent piece for holding small indoor plants, air plants, or styling a vintage vanity display. The sculpture is covered in a brilliant, high-gloss teal-turquoise main glaze that transitions smoothly down to a flared Louis heel. The scrolling side contours and the large lower bow are beautifully highlighted with hand-painted, bright gold gilt metallic line accents. The absolute focal anchor is a magnificent, massive 3D applied ceramic rose blossom resting on the toe box, expertly painted with a soft pink-to-pastel-yellow watercolor gradient and bracketed by texturized green leaves. The center of the blossom is uniquely encrusted with an artistic crushed glass glitter core that sparkles under the light.Flip the slipper over to find the artist's signature hand-incised directly into the glazed bottom plate. The interior is fully finished with a warm yellow-and-rose wash glaze. Please review the detailed condition report below regarding structural breaks before completing your checkout.

Condition Report:
Vintage "As-Is" Condition. The primary teal body retains its deep, uniform coloration with a beautiful mirror-like glass reflection, showing zero dulling or hard scratches. The main tiered petals of the front 3D applied ceramic rose blossom remain crisp, vibrant, and well-preserved. The bottom signature is perfectly legible.
Please Note Two Structural Flaws:
The delicate molded ceramic ribbon bow resting on the top rear collar has sustained an old break; the left-side loop of the bow is completely missing with visible fracture texturing.
A prominent green ceramic leaf wrapping around the front toe base has broken off entirely, leaving a raw, unglazed white bisque clay fracture scar along the bottom edge rim with a minor speckle of glaze flaking. Both flaws are clearly documented in the close-up photos and have been factored directly into the discounted pricing.
